Comparing and merging text files

I've updated my Recommended Software page with a few applications I think I've already blogged about, with the exception of WinMerge.

WinMerge is a brilliant open source application that can compare two text files and reveals the differences between them, as well as allows you to merge the differences.  It's an essential tool for someone like me who has multiple copies of the same files floating around but can't remember which is the most current.

Rules: Paragraphs and linebreaks are automatically created (two or more linebreaks create a paragraph). Linebreaks between code tags remain linebreaks. Block tags cannot be enclosed by inline tags. Red attributes are required and green is optional.

Use "&lt;" and "&gt;" for "<" and ">". Enclosing PHP code in <code> tags will highlight the code (i.e. <code>&lt;?php echo 'hello world'; ?&gt;</code>).
