Dream PC

The news about the Intel Core 2 Duo has got me rather excited and has me looking at the options to upgrade my own PC.  Unfortunately I bought my PC at the end of that particular CPU architectures life.  So whilst it's still a decent PC, I will be replacing all parts with the exception of the case.  But I'm rather surprised at what price I can do this for.  So here is my wishlist:

Parts for my dream PC.

CPUIntel Core 2 Duo E6400 1$355A good compromise between price and performance, but I'll review this choice as more reviews appear.
RAMKingmax 1024MB DDR21$135I haven't read any reviews of RAM but Kingmax has always had a good reputation I believe
MotherboardAsus P5ND2-SLI Deluxe 1$129This motherboard was recommended by PC Authority in January and I mostly trust their reviews.
HarddriveSamsung SpinPoint P120 (250GB) 1$130Another recommended product by PC Authority. Price and performance is great and I can always by a second one later.
Video CardGalaxy GeForce 6600GT (PCI-E)1$0I won a PCI-E video card many months ago. I forget what it is — I left it at work. It should do the job until I can afford something better.
Power SupplyThermaltake W0103 (600W) 1$170Another product I've chosen on brand reputation. 600W should cover me for the future, I hope.
Total  $919All prices are based on the cheapest searches from StaticIce.com.au . If I buy from one supplier this system will probably cost $200 more.

I mention quantity for each item because I may choose 2 harddrives and two sticks of RAM, depending on my budget at the time of purchase.  At this time, I don't expect to be upgrading until much close to Christmas, if not after.  So I will update these details as find new products or they become cheaper.  Please leave a comment if you have any buying suggestions.

Sounds like a nice system.

Dont bother skimping on RAM, get 2GB straight up and also Id look at a newer mainboard, some of asus newer P5 series boards have a lot of nice features and explicit support for core 2 duo and 1066Mhz FSB.
