Hottest 100 Venue for 2008
Last year was the first year in about 8 years that I got to listen to Triple J's Hottest 100. And I missed it again this year. The reason why I didn't miss it last year was because I was seperated from my partner. And 8 years before that I never missed it because I wasn't in a relationship with my partner.
Now, I'll make myself clear, it isn't my partners fault I have missed this annual event every year I've been with her. It's purely because I can't justify exact how important it is to me. I don't have friends I can organize a J party with so I don't feel that anyone would understand why I wouldn't, for example, go camping jst because I want to listen to Triple J - even if it's by myself.
But listening to the delayed stream today I heard there was an official party at an Irish pub in a town about 100 km from where I live. I am prepared, next year, to reject any non-Triple J event and travel to this town and book a room overnight so I can listen to the the Hottest 100 with like-minded individuals.
So for people who know me and live in this town (you know who you are) - did yourself or anyone else you know go to this Irish pub and can comment on how well they celebrated the event? I really want to do something next year but I have no where to do it.
