IGN has released their Top 20 Essential Gamecube Games.  Obviously the Gamecube site is pretty slow these days and IGN has been forced to write boring and predictable features since the Gamecube is pretty much a corpse that generates almost no news.

But I'm pleased to say that I own 13 out of the 20 games IGN's list.  And of those 13 there isn't one I wouldn't recommend, with the exception of Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door.  Far too much pointless dialogue and I don't think I appreciate the repetitive nature of RPG's.

And of the 7 remaining games, I've worked hard to get my hands on Beyond Good & Evil and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time but they are simply not available in PAL format (I tried importing from Europe).  And I'll probably buy Metroid Prime 2: Echoes when it drops to below $50 and maybe Mario Sunshine if it gets down to $30.  I can live without Super Monkey Ball 2, Super Smash Bros. Melee and TimeSplitters 2.
