Mike Patton thinks Wolfmother is genius
I think most people seen the video of Mike Patton at Lollapalooza, asking, "Are you hearing this shit?", when he heared Wolfmother playing "Woman" in the background of his interview.
I for one thought it was quite funny. I don't hate Wolfmother but I tend to think they are imitaters. But it seems Mike Patton has done an about face on his opinion on Wolfmother. This morning I was watching the repeat of Mike Patton and Imani Coppola guest programming on Rage where they introduced Wolfmother's "Woman" video like so:
Mike: "Hello everybody. We've got more videos. The next one is by, probably, my favorite band in the world."
Imani: "I heard about this."
Mike: "Yeah."
Imani: "Yeah, big fans of them."
Mike: "Big fans. I'm a big fan. Umm, me and, you know, 8 million other people."
Imani: "Yeah."
Mike: "Umm, genius. It's basically genius and genius speaks for itself. Wolfmother."
After the video I was expecting Mike to say, "Nah, just kidding. They're shit." But no joy. Someone has already uploaded this video on YouTube so you can see for yourself.
