Opera 9.0 Preview 1
Opera 9.0 Preview 1 is now available for download. I have to admit, when Opera 8.5 was released as the new totally free (and ad free) Opera browser I questioned how active development would be from that point on. But it's only been a month and we already have 9.0 in the pipe line. This is great news.
I've only just installed it and first off, Opera now has support for TinyMCE (and other JavaScript WYSIWYG editors) although it's very buggy and not usable yet. It now supports displaying of HTML source without an external application but doesn't syntax highlight the code. An effort has also been made to adopt the Firefox way of doing things also, such as Firefox hotkeys for opening tabs and also opera:config gives you an interface for modifying opera's config file (which we used to have to use a text editor for).
