ReelAnime
Madman is starting it's ReelAnime tour in the next couple of weeks where it will be showcasing some sweet anime movies. Noteably Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence which I've been hanging out to see since it was released in US over 12 months ago (9 months for the Region 1 DVD — no wonder they invented region locking). In addition to Innocense they'll be showing Appleseed which I just watched the trailer for — wow! Unlike most anime I'm familiar with, Appleseed appears to be totally 3D but uses cell-shading for a cartoon look. It's going to be sweet eye-candy.
ReelAnime will be in Brisbane between Nov 3rd and the 13th, which bites because I'll be in Brisbane only a couple of weeks after then for the Foo Fighters concert. At least the fact that Appleseed is released on DVD in late November will help me sleep.
