To-do List Website

For a long time I've wanted something the helped me track tasks that I needed to complete at work.  It's quite embarrassing when I completely forget to do something.  For a very short period I tried using Outlook Tasks.  But I found it rather clumsy and tedious.  It just didn't work to make my life easier.

I was expecting to have to run some stand-alone application but just the other day I found Ta Da Lists when looking for such a utility. It was a little simple for what I wanted, so I searched a little further to find 25 To Do Lists to Stay Productive on Solution Watch.  The story reviewed a number of online To Do lists including Ta Da Lists, but I quickly chose Remember the Milk.

After just a single days using Remember the Milk I already feel that I've significantly improved my productivity.  Creating tasks is quick and easy which means I can create tasks during a phone call so I don't forget.  Tasks can be grouped into lists — I've created a list for each project I'm involved with.  You can also assign a due date for a task and give them varying levels of priority.  This is pretty much all the functionality I need.

But Remember the Milk give a lot of other features which include the ability to tag tasks, share tasks with other team members and even have reminders for tasks e-mailed or SMS'ed to you.  And it has a plugins or bookmarklet for your browser that allows you to create tasks from webpages, which can be more useful than you might realise at first.

Remember the Milk is even practical for personal use if you want reminders for events such as ticket sales.  Check it out.

UPDATE: And it turns out the developers are Australian.  Even more reason to checkout their efforts and support them.
