Triple J MP3 Stream

I just noticed that Triple J now offers an MP3 stream of their broadcast, which means you can listen to it in something other than Real Player or Windows Media Player, such as Winamp. The MP3 stream is 128 kbps as opposed to 96 kbps for the other stream formats, so I assume that means it sounds better (can't tell on these PC speakers) but for some reason it's a lot quieter.

Of course if you prefer the listen to the Windows Media stream in Winamp you can with a little know-how. Download the asx file (right-click and Save target as…) then open it in a text editor such as Notepad. The first mms url in the Entry section is the url you need. But before you can use this url in Winamp you'll need to add .wma to the end. Here's a URL I prepared earlier — mms://202.6.74.109/triplej/.wma

Likewise, you can do the same with Dig to get the Winamp friendly URL mms://media3.abc.net.au/digradio/.wma.
